Man charged in armed break-in near Havelock, deputies say

A Harlowe man was arrested and charged after an alleged armed break-in at a George Road home near Havelock, deputies said.

Craven County deputies arrested a Harlowe man in connection with a reported armed break-in near Havelock.

According to the Craven County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded Jan. 12, 2026, to a home on George Road after a caller reported a man forced entry through the front door while armed with a knife.

Investigators said a dog at the home got between the man and the resident. Authorities allege the man struck the dog during the encounter.

After an investigation, deputies identified Marsavix Tollie McCoy Frazier, 25, of Harlowe, as the suspect.

Frazier was arrested without incident on Jan. 13 by the Craven County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Patrol Bureau.

He was charged with felony breaking and entering to terrorize, assault with a deadly weapon, second-degree trespass, injury to real property, and cruelty to animals.

He is being held without bond at the Craven County Confinement Facility.
