Marine Corps Education Command launched the official Marine Corps Uniform App on June 29, 2026, giving service members mobile access to guidance from Marine Corps Order 1020.34. The free app is available in Apple’s App Store, and an Android version is planned for fiscal year 2027.
“The Marine Corps Uniform App gives Marines immediate access to the guidance they use most often,” Brig. Gen. Matthew W. Tracy, commanding general of Education Command and president of the Marine Corps Uniform Board, said in a statement.
“It is designed to make existing standards more accessible while reinforcing the professionalism and attention to detail that define our Corps.”
The app is intended as a companion to the 263-page Marine Corps Order 1020.34H, not a replacement. It organizes information by officer and enlisted, male and female, with sections for uniforms and grooming.
Users can search categories including physical training, utilities, service, and dress uniforms. Each page includes an image with highlighted components, along with guidance on when to wear each uniform and how to assemble it.
The grooming section uses dropdown menus for quick reference. The Marine Corps said the app could help Marines preparing for inspections, traveling for duty, or checking standards before formation.
According to the service, leaders and instructors can also use the app to confirm details during mentoring, spot checks, training, and promotion board preparation. The Marine Corps said the mobile format may reduce reliance on outdated screenshots, unofficial guides, or informal interpretations of regulations.
The service said the app supplements official policy, and Marines should consult Marine Corps Order 1020.34 for questions not covered in the app.
Marines can submit suggestions through the Marine Corps Uniform Board organizational mailbox listed in Marine Administrative Message 299/26. The Marine Corps said updates will reflect user input while remaining aligned with current uniform regulations.
