Kinston police arrest 4 Camp Lejeune men

Summary

Kinston police said four Camp Lejeune men were arrested after a reported break-in and paint vandalism at a Hardee Road building.

Why this matters

The arrests involved service members from Camp Lejeune and prompted notification of base leadership. The case also provides local residents with details about a reported break-in and property damage investigation in Kinston.

Four Camp Lejeune men were arrested after Kinston police said they broke into a building and defaced it with paint.

The Kinston Police Department said A-Squad officers responded May 9 to a report of four suspects breaking into a building at 834 Hardee Road. The caller reported the suspects were actively defacing the building with paint.

Officers found Victor Torres, 21, and Angel Martinez, 20, both of Camp Lejeune, at the scene, police said. Police said both had red paint on their hands and were found with burglary tools.

Police said two other suspects later left the building and ran toward Caswell Center property. K-9 Knox tracked them, and both surrendered after seeing the dog, according to police.

With help from the Caswell Center Police Department, officers arrested Joshua Son, 20, and Isaac Reyna, 21, both of Camp Lejeune, police said.
